1. Who we are

Dutix ("we", "us", "our") provides the Dutix Chrome extension and the getdutix.com website. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@getdutix.com.

2. What data the Chrome extension collects

The Dutix Chrome extension does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

  • It does not read, store, or transmit your browsing history.
  • It does not read, store, or transmit the contents of pages you visit, other than temporarily processing the price shown in your current tab to perform its calculation. This data never leaves your device.
  • It does not collect your IP address, location, or any identifying information.
  • It stores your country preference and any store-origin overrides you set locally in your browser's storage (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is not accessible to us.
  • The only external network request it makes is to api.frankfurter.app - a public, open-source exchange rate API operated by the European Central Bank. No user data is sent in this request.

3. What data the website collects

When you use the price checker on getdutix.com:

  • Email address: If you provide your email in the price checker form, we store it to send you updates about Dutix. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Product URL: The URL you submit is used only to fetch price information for your calculation. We do not store it after the request completes.
  • Country (approximate): We use your IP country (via Vercel geo headers) to apply the correct VAT rate. We do not store your IP address.

4. Cookies

getdutix.com does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Standard web server logs (which may include IP addresses) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

5. Third-party services

  • Vercel: Our website is hosted on Vercel. See Vercel's privacy policy.
  • Frankfurter / ECB: Public exchange rate API. No user data is sent.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email hello@getdutix.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
